He said they’re as ‘outdated as the Yellow Pages.’ Ouch.

Big Baller Brand, the company, has received a slew of negative reviews and formal complaints from another BBB, the Better Business Bureau, according to the New York Daily News. Apparently, the fashion and sneaker company has been struggling to meet demand, and the business-grading BBB has penalized them for that with an “F” rating.

That doesn’t seem to matter to LaVar Ball, though, according to a report from ESPN. Ball treated the Better Business Bureau like he does anyone else who fields fair criticisms against him: He talked around them.

“Better Business Bureau is as outdated as the Yellow Pages,” LaVar Ball said, in a text, to ESPN. “Who cares about them? Tell them that Yelp! has replaced the Better Business Bureau. We honestly thought the Better Business Bureau was out of business. The new BBB stands for the Big Baller Brand.”

In total, Big Baller Brand has received 32 formal complaints and 44 negative reviews without a single positive review. Here are the reasons listed for Big Baller Brand’s F rating.

Factors that affect the rating for Big Baller Brand include:

– Length of time business has been operating

– 32 complaint(s) filed against business

– Failure to respond to 12 complaint(s) filed against business

– 5 complaint(s) filed against business that were not resolved

Sure, to be fair, consumers likely aren’t seeking out the Better Business Bureau to assign them compliments, nor is every review verified to be factual. It seems likely that the complaints aren’t due to the Ball family’s maliciousness, but ineptitude at running said business. Most of the complaints revolve around shipping delays, though a few consumers say that they’ve been told that their order has shipped weeks ago and still haven’t received anything. A couple customers also said that they received the wrong items.

Big Baller Brand has also been knocked for not providing refunds and poor customer service in general.

“This company does not offer refunds,” one entry says. “I purchased 2 items and was told there would be a 1-2 week delay. I have been waiting 6 weeks now, and when I asked why it was taking so long, I was called a ‘small baller’. At this point I believe they have decided to steal my money.”

The company is selling Lonzo Ball’s signature shoes for $495, while his youngest brother LaMelo’s shoes go for $395.

If you were ever, at any point, considering buying from Big Baller Brand, do so at your own risk.
